Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and well-connected PR Manager / Senior PR Manager to drive our daily media relations and client execution. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our daily pitching efforts, leveraging your existing media relationships to secure high-impact coverage for our clients. Key Responsibilities

• Media Relations & Pitching: Leverage and expand your existing network of journalists, editors, and influencers in the tech, business, and startup media landscape to secure top-tier coverage.
• Grid Execution: Proactively and relentlessly pitch story ideas, press releases, and guest articles to key media outlets.
• Content & Narrative: Draft and refine compelling press materials, complex backgrounders, and thought leadership pieces that resonate with journalists.
• Events & Conferences: Identify and secure high-profile speaking opportunities for our clients at major tech and industry events.
• Reporting & Strategy: Monitor campaign performance, track results, and support the team with market insights and trend analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in PR, ideally within an agency environment, a startup, or the tech/VC sector.
• Network: A proven and active network of relevant journalists and editors (tech, business, and finance media) is an absolute must.
• Languages: Native or business-fluent communication skills in both German and English are required to successfully pitch in the DACH and international tech ecosystems.
• Mindset: A proactive "driver" mentality with a strong passion for daily media outreach and storytelling.
• Skills: Exceptional writing skills, project management abilities, and a deep understanding of what makes a story newsworthy.

What you bring

• Enthusiasm for Social Media, PR and Comms
• You're an enrolled student in Communications, PR, Marketing, or something similar
• Strong editorial skills, both in English and German
• Experience in and passion for Social Media communications
• Strong research skills
• Interested in the VC and startup ecosystem and all things tech
• Creative, proactive, organized, and strong attention to detail
• You're tech savvy and keen on working with the latest tools

What you can expect

• Conceptualizing and creating Social & Owned media content: copy, graphics & videos for LinkedIn, websites, blogs
• Supporting PR efforts, e.g. drafting press releases
• Preparing and fine-tuning PowerPoint presentations
• Doing research and drafting briefings
